DavRail is seeking a Machine Operator in Texas to safely operate and maintain heavy railroad maintenance equipment in field and shop settings. The role involves hands-on operation, inspections, and troubleshooting with travel to various job sites.

The candidate will follow safety procedures, read manuals, and communicate effectively with team members and customers, with opportunities for growth within a safety-focused environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or similar mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read safety manuals, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and basic drawings or schematics.
• Effective English communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety procedures, and meet applicable employment screening requirements.

Aufgaben

• Safely operate DavRail equipment including wheel lathes, backhoes, excavators, dozers, loaders, and skid steers in field and shop environments.
• Inspect, set up, maintain, and operate portable equipment for railroad wheel maintenance.
• Document inspections, maintenance, and completed work; use computers for scheduling and communications.
• Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and coworkers to understand job requirements and report progress.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE; maintain clean, safe work areas at remote job sites.
