Job summary

RSI Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Rail Site Coordinator to move railcars, plan and coordinate railcar movements to/from manufacturing locations, storage yards and third-party sites, while maintaining target levels for loaded and empty cars and handling scheduling and information flow.

Responsibilities include coordinating with manufacturing and supply chain teams, ensuring yard capacity, arranging shipments (including hazardous materials), and maintaining strong railroad relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of rail operations or logistics coordination experience.
• Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office Suite; strong rail industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain to meet inbound railcar needs.
• Ensure yard capacity and railcar type availability; maintain fluidity.
• Coordinate and schedule railcars from serving yards to loading racks.
• Execute shipments of loaded and empty railcars, including hazardous materials.
• Ensure cross-border railcars clear customs and avoid holds.
• Maintain relationships with railroad contacts and operations departments.
• Escalate service issues and participate in after-hours support as needed.
• Work on a rotational schedule; weekend and holiday coverage required.
