Wallenius Wilhelmsen in Texas is seeking a Rail Lead to supervise daily rail loading operations, prepare railcars, load and unload vehicles, and ensure quality and safety standards are met in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

You will coach and train team members, audit processes, and collaborate with Supervisors while maintaining equipment such as bridge plates and buck loaders. This hands-on leadership role offers growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a loading/operational setting.
• Ability to coach, train, and assign work effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare railcars for shipment and handle doors, bridge plates, and chocking.
• Load and unload vehicles onto railcars per quality standards.
• Ensure proper vehicle spacing and securement on outbound railcars.
• Use power tools for metal cutting and maintain equipment.
• Conduct inspections on bridge plates and buck loaders.
• Assist Supervisors with training, coaching, and workload assignment.
• Audit processes and resolve issues; ensure PET standards are met.
