Job summary

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is hiring Rail Infrastructure Technicians to join cross-country projects along active railroad corridors. You will operate in 4–6 person crews led by a Superintendent, performing slope stabilization, geotechnical work, and emergency response on active rail lines.

Ideal candidates have heavy civil construction or geotechnical field experience, a safety-first mindset, and a willingness to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

  • Experience on active construction sites in heavy civil, geotechnical, railroad, or related field environments.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying terrain and conditions with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Must pass an extensive background check for railroad corridor work.

Responsibilities

  • Install slope stabilization systems, soil nails, rock anchors, drainage, shotcrete, and grouting to protect rail corridors.
  • Participate in daily safety plans with the superintendent and actively contribute to crew safety.
  • Operate and maintain equipment on active jobsites and handle tools and machinery with care.
  • Assist with site organization, material handling, and jobsite logistics.
  • Document logs, photos, safety checklists, and compliance records.
