Job summary

Knorr Brake Company in Westminster, MD is seeking an HVAC Assembler to perform prebuild inspections and basic mechanical and electrical assembly of HVAC units for rail car applications, following drawing specifications.

You will use hand, pneumatic, and power tools, install gaskets, insulate units, apply sealants, and ensure quality and safety while adhering to ISO and industry standards; teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow manufacturing drawings and specifications.
• Basic mechanical/electrical assembly skills and attention to detail.
• Safe operation of hand, pneumatic and power tools in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prebuild inspections of components, noting defects before assembly.
• Use approved work instructions to assemble components per drawings and quality standards.
• Install gaskets, insulate units, and tighten hardware as required.
• Apply sealants and perform surface preparation per specifications.
• Inform supervisor of defects or quality issues observed during build.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and support team members as needed.
