Job summary

Knorr Brake Company in Westminster, MD is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Production Supervisor to lead HVAC repair and overhaul teams both in the shop and in the field. You will manage production personnel, coordinate daily workloads, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance in a demanding transit environment.

The role requires a minimum of 7 years in repair shop settings and hands-on trouble-shooting with electrical tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of repair shop experience in rail, automotive, marine, military, mining/heavy equipment, or aviation/avionics.
• Hands-on troubleshooting in running and heavy repair scenarios.
• Proficient with electrical measurement tools (oscilloscopes, DMM).
• Experience with Merak portable test units and service terminal software.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervising production personnel, organizing and monitoring workflows with adherence to policies for quality and productivity.
• Supervising Field Service Technicians by assigning daily workload and following up on issues.
• Assist, train and mentor production and field service teams.
• Assist in capacity analysis for supervised areas.
