Job summary

The HVAC Technician I conducts pre-build inspections of components and performs a variety of general mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components to build HVAC units for use in the rail car industry according to drawing specifications. Qualifications

• Pre-build inspections of components and note any damage before assembly.
• Assemble components using hand, pneumatic and power tools according to drawings while meeting quality requirements.
• Install sub-assemblies, gaskets, sealants and wiring per work instructions and schematics.
• Inform supervisor of part or equipment defects noted during build and monitor consumable shelf life.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-build inspections and document findings.
• Run wiring and build wiring harnesses per schematics.
• Perform serialization of parts in SAP for work orders.
• Support and assist teammates and follow supervisor directions.
