Sperry Rail, Inc. is seeking a Certified Operator Trainee (NS) to join our field operations. The role requires extensive travel across eastern or western US during 3–4 month assignments, with paid training at the Sperry School of Rail Flaw Detection and eventual leadership opportunities on project crews.

Upon certification, you may operate testing platforms or lead a crew, with a clear path for career advancement within a global leader in rail flaw detection technologies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel for extended field assignments (3–4 months).

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete training at Sperry School of Rail Flaw Detection.
• Learn rail detection methods and technologies.
• Achieve ultrasonic testing certification in the field.
• Work as part of a crew and develop leadership skills for future team leadership.
• Gain knowledge of Sperry's diagnostic technologies and interfaces.
• Set up equipment and perform basic repairs.
• Follow railroad safety procedures and protocols.
• Travel to multiple job sites for extended periods (3–4 months).
