Job summary

MxV Rail seeks an Instrumentation Engineer to support projects sponsored by stakeholders and clients, applying standardized data collection methodologies in field and lab environments. The role emphasizes safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the Engineering department.

The engineer will operate instrumentation equipment, perform calibration, contribute to data collection hardware design, and ensure data integrity per project standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting and analytical engineering work evidenced by coursework or internships.
• Experience with data collection and testing environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Gains proficiency in operating, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation equipment, sensors, transducers, and basic survey/GPS telemetry systems.
• Applies best practices for calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Participates in designing and assembling data collection hardware under guidance.
