Job summary

Watco Transloading is seeking a conductor/engineer to control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars at yards, industrial sites, or terminals. This is a full-time, hourly position that supports unloading and loading operations to service customers safely and efficiently.

You’ll train on the job and grow through Watco’s programs. Successful candidates will follow railroad rules, read switching orders, communicate via radio, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must pass training and required testing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable attendance.
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete tasks on schedule.
• Read, write, and communicate in English and understand basic math.
• Read switching orders and supervise train crews as needed.
• Operate locomotive and observe signals per railroad rules and regulations.
• Maintain records of cars switched and cargo details.
