Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Engineer, Overhead Contact System (OCS), for Sacramento, Fresno, or Bakersfield, CA. This on-site role leads OCS engineering activities for a major transportation project, covering catenary, wire systems, and related infrastructure.

You will coordinate interfaces with traction power, trackwork, structures, signaling, and facilities, traveling 25–50% along the alignment to support installation, testing, commissioning and energization.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Strong background in railway electrification interfaces and operational requirements
• Experience reviewing engineering deliverables on large transportation projects

Responsibilities

• Develop and review OCS engineering deliverables, construction packages, specs and submissions
• Lead review of designs, wiring plans, structure layouts, electrification studies and construction packages
• Coordinate interfaces between OCS, traction power, trackwork, structures, signaling, and rolling stock
• Provide engineering support during installation, testing, commissioning and energization
• Review contractor technical submissions and turnover documentation
• Develop and review testing procedures, commissioning documentation, and energization programs
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, and integrated testing programs
