Job summary

Siemens Mobility invites a Data Analysis Intern to join the Customer Service team in Wilmington, DE, for a 10–12 week program this summer. You’ll monitor fleet performance, analyze failure data, and support root-cause investigations to improve reliability of Siemens trains.

Ideal candidates are engineering students with interest in data analytics, Weibull methods, and BI tools. The role offers hands-on experience, training, and exposure to cross-functional teams in rail technology.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer).
• Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August.
• U.S. work authorization required for employment.
• Prior internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Must reside near internship location (New Castle, DE) or nearby.

Responsibilities

• Learn standard processes and assist in data analysis tasks.
• Collaborate with RAMP groups to follow train operations in Wilmington, DE.
• Create Weibull analyses and develop reports using BI tools.
• Explore Power BI and Spotfire dashboards to drive actionable insights.
• Shadow training to understand locomotive operations and team collaboration.
