Job summary

TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc is seeking a Cost Estimating Professional at its Fort Worth, TX facility to prepare accurate cost estimates and customer quotes in line with AAR rules. The role requires interfacing with all levels of the organization, sourcing materials, developing work orders, and maintaining repair documentation while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver competitive quotes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Ability to interface and communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Two years of rail cost estimating experience preferred.
• AAR Codes, standards, and regulation experience required.
• Ability to work across the various functions of the organization and with external partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365.
• Experience reading blueprints or engineering models.
• Experience interpreting customer procedures and specifications required.

Responsibilities

• Review in-bound inspection reports and validate findings.
• Prepare cost estimates and quotes based on customer criteria and procedures while maintaining AAR compliance.
• Source repair parts and materials based on drawing interpretation and customer criteria (research and requisition).
• Review shop instructions and develop comprehensive work orders based on customer requirements.
• Prepare and maintain records and documentation pertaining to repairs to include invoices, AAR billing repair cards, and testing documentation.
• Additional technician duties as required.
