Job summary

DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) seeks a Property Manager to oversee railroad property in Dallas, TX. You will work with tenants, engineers, city planners, and developers to review and process use applications, negotiate license agreements, and ensure compliance with policies and laws.

You will protect the right-of-way, audit rental income, and prepare reports on operations, budgets, and revenue opportunities, supporting the Real Estate and Economic Development division's goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field.
• Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in right-of-way management, property management or commercial properties.
• Knowledge of rail related properties, real estate principles and applicable laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with PC software applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Meets with tenants, engineers, planners and developers to review use of DART property.
• Coordinates review and processing of applications for public/private use of corridors.
• Negotiates license agreements in line with policy and restrictions.
• Protects right-of-way for future DART use and inspects for encroachments.
• Audits rental income and coordinates revenue increases and collections.
• Prepares ad hoc reports and stays current on industry trends.
• Maintains tenant relations and notifies on license/easement matters.
• Researches property ownership and determines license fees.
• Coordinates with railroads on use of right-of-way and maintenance.
