Job summary

Quality Talent Group seeks an experienced Rail Operation Supervisor for a premier client in the building automation and industrial technology sector. The role focuses on overseeing rail operations, coordinating daily movements with CSX, and ensuring safety and on-time loading targets.

The candidate will bring at least 3 years of supervision experience in locomotive operations and a locomotive engineer certification, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 3 years of equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervision experience in locomotives/rail operations.
• Locomotive Engineer certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Field of Study Preferred: Logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the rail operation, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining quality standards.
• Coordinate daily rail movements with rail service provider CSX and all rail destinations.
• Monitor rail operations to ensure compliance and achieve daily loading targets.
• Adjust rail schedules and optimize workflow to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Identify and address rail bottlenecks or issues to minimize downtime.
