Job summary

V/Line is hiring a Conductor in Seymour to join the Customer Operations Group. You will deliver outstanding service, ensure safety on and around the rail, and communicate with the driver via radio while tracking boarding numbers and managing fare information.

This full‑time, 24/7 roster role offers an attractive hourly rate of $51 p/hr, paid training including a Certificate 3 in Rail Customer Service, free Myki travel, and opportunities to grow within a dynamic transport network.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal & written communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety culture and high service standards.
• Previous face-to-face customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to person for passengers and provide information face-to-face or via PA system.
• Prepare trains for service, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Handle fare sales, check tickets, and advise on fares during services.
