Qualifications

• Ability to submit work reports using electronic device(s).
• Ability to read and understand operating and safety rules, bulletins, federal regulatory documents.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to deliver information to coworker(s), supervisor(s), railroad employees, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Work seven days per week with no regular days off unless on a regular assignment.
• May be called to protect assignments in yard facilities and in commuter service.
• Perform switching operations and ensure on-time performance and proper car routing.
• Conduct train inspections and verify safety and equipment readiness.
• Handle cash fare collection and revenue reporting.
