Job summary

Savage is seeking a Day Shift Rail Transload Operator in Elko, NV. The role involves safely transloading hazardous and non-hazardous liquids and dry bulk products, operating loading equipment and mobile vehicles, and participating in safety training with occasional travel. Steel-toed boots and a clean driving record preferred.

This is a full-time position with built-in overtime. The work location is Elko, NV, with a 6 a.m.–4 p.m. schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

Rail switching/locomotive experience preferred.
Equipment operating experience preferred.
Must follow written/verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
Pass a skills test on the type of work performed.
Dependability in attendance; may work holidays and OT.
Willingness to travel to other sites as needed.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Safely transload various materials including hazardous and non-hazardous bulk liquids and dry bulk products.
Operate trans-loading equipment such as air compressors, boilers, transfer pumps, filtration units, portable conveyors and hand tools.
Operate mobile equipment including golf carts and utility vehicles.
Participate in hazardous materials handling and safety training; occasional travel may be required.
Assist with general maintenance, cleanup, and other duties as assigned.
