Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak is seeking a Rail Bender to bend, curve and surface rail per prints and specifications at our Pueblo, Colorado facility. The role requires reading blueprints, work orders, and performing precise calculations, with safety and quality as top priorities.

You will operate hydraulic presses and cranes, perform deburring, and adhere to all safety, environmental, and procedural standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Forklift and Crane certification preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, ITPs, blue prints, rulers and tape measures.
• Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Bend, curve and surface rail for switch point stock rails and traffic using a hydraulic horizontal press.
• Minimal deburring of rail with hand grinder.
• Read and follow production schedule.
• Safely operate jib and overhead cranes.
• Able to work with little supervision.
• Heat rail with torches per work instructions.
• Adhere to Nortrak's Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
