Job summary

Center for Special Surgery in St. Petersburg, Florida, is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Technologist to perform basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures as directed by a licensed physician in an ambulatory surgery center.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT licensure, state license if required, and BLS/ACLS as needed, with at least 1 year of experience and strong communication with patients and the care team.

Qualifications

• ARRT licensure/certification required
• State DOH license if required by the state
• BLS and ACLS if required by the center/hospital
• Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and health care team

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to complex radiographic procedures as requested by a licensed physician in an ASC or surgical hospital.
• Operate radiographic equipment and ensure patient safety and imaging quality

Center for Special Surgery is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.

Radiology Technologist at Center for Special Surgery

The Radiology Technologist performs basic to complex diagnostic radiographic procedures as requested by a licensed physician in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or Surgical Hospital.

Qualifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) licensure/certification
• State Department of Health License if required by the state
• BLS and ACLS if required by the center/hospital
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the health care team
