Job summary

RLS Radiopharmacies in New Orleans seeks a Nuclear Pharmacist responsible for sterile compounding and dispensing radiopharmaceuticals. You will supervise the shift, ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, and provide training to staff.

The role requires a Pharm.D. or PharmD-progress with licensure, willingness to work on-call, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in radiopharma or clean room preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy with current intern license or Pharm.D. in progress.
• Willingness to become authorized user of radioactive materials
• Licensed or eligible to practice pharmacy
• Willingness to on-call and arrive within 45 minutes
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, occasional 70 lbs
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Experience with sterile compounding or radiopharmaceuticals preferred
• Experience in a clean room environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Exemplifies compliance with regulations, company policies, and safety rules.
• Process and review customer orders from receipt to packaging.
• Accurately set up and compound radiopharmaceuticals.
• Supervise shift and direct employee activity during shift.
• Supervise and/or perform leukocyte labeling procedures.
• Handle, package and deliver radiopharmaceuticals and hazardous materials safely.
• Monitor inventory and supplies.
• Perform equipment tests and record results.
• Quality control tests on prepared products.
• Provide training and supervision to staff on regulations and safety.
• Manage waste disposal and maintain documentation.
• Maintain lab cleanliness per schedule.
• Participate in safety trainings and health program.
• Enter regulatory, sales, customer data into pharmacy system
