Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Basic Machine Operator to join our urgent care team in Carrollwood, Tampa. The role supports providers with patient examinations, procedures, and x-ray/imaging services across front and back office duties.

This full-time position requires BLS certification and Florida BMO, a high school diploma, and preferred Medical Assistant experience; weekend rotation may apply. BayCare offers PTO, 401(k) match, and performance bonuses as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with patient examinations, procedures, and imaging.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Florida Basic Machine Operator (BMO) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with patient examination, procedures, treatment, and x-ray/imaging services.
• Maintains patient histories and prepares specimens for lab transport.
• Operates and maintains medical equipment and orders supplies.
• Manages EMR documentation and patient education materials.
• Performs front and back-office duties as needed.
• Position may travel to other sites based on patient volume.
