Description:The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center with a busy environment.The unit has 6 beds, including 2 for fluoro, 1 U-arm, and 3 for plain films.The average patient census is high, handling a range of patients from NICU to geriatric care.Common diagnoses include normal Level 1 trauma, extremities, and more.The department will have support from a lead tech during the day and a charge tech for the second shift.Radiology transport is available, with radiologists offsite after hours.Staffing includes other rad techs, as well as a manager and supervisor during weekdays.There is a Rapid Response/Code Team available for emergencies.Technology used includes EMR with EPIC and PACS with GE.Unit-specific equipment includes GE OEC c-arm and Shimadzu portables.Floating may occur to facilities within a 30-minute range, though advance notice will be provided if needed.Schedule cycles are created in one-month increments.Weekend rotations are expected every other weekend, with one holiday per contract.Requests for time off must be approved by management.The scrub color is Caribbean blue.
