Job summary

MedVet is an Emergency and Specialty provider seeking a Radiology Veterinary Assistant to join our clinical team in a fast-paced setting.

The role supports MRI/CT imaging, radiographs, ultrasound, and patient care, with a schedule of Monday-Thursday 8a-6p and a hiring range of $17.00-28.00/hr based on experience. Join a collaborative team focused on excellent client and patient care.

Qualifications

• MRI and radiology experience preferred.
• Veterinary background helpful for procedures and patient care.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient procedures: preparation of patients, instruments, equipment and medications
• Assist with radiographs, CTs, ultrasound imaging and MRIs
• Manage appointments: histories, records, invoicing, discharges
• Deliver high-quality MedVet patient care and compassionate service
• Collaborate with team, multitask, and maintain accurate documentation

We are looking for:

Radiology Veterinary Assistant

Proposed Schedule: Monday- Thursday 8a-6p

This role has a hiring range of $17.00-28.00/hr based on experience.

Our radiology veterinary assistants need to have critical thinking skills, attention to detail and the ability multitask within a strong team environment. This team focuses on developing strong client and patient relationships due to many cases requiring daily treatments. You must be able to drive the MedVet experience of excellent patient care and compassion.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in patient procedures: preparation of patients, instruments, equipment and medications
• Assist with the execution of radiographs, CTs, ultrasound imaging and MRIs
• Manage appointments: obtain histories, medical record keeping, invoicing, patient discharges, etc.
• Drive the MedVet Experience and ensure our patients receive the highest quality care
• Inspire, teach, multitask and be a highly functional team member
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete

Who you are:

• Prior MRI and radiology experience strongly preferred
• Prior veterinary experience preferred
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
