Job summary

Henderson Health Care Services is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist to join the radiology department at Henderson Community Hospital. Responsibilities include performing X-ray, CT, DEXA, and mammography exams, maintaining quality imaging, and supporting patient care on a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification and Nebraska State License required.
• BLS certification recommended; strong focus on radiation safety and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging exams, including X-rays (fixed and portable), CT scans, mammograms, and DEXA scans.
• Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and safety.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of radiology equipment.
• Perform departmental QA and ensure high-quality digital imaging.
• Order and manage department supplies.
• Schedule exams and notify patients of appointments.
• Assist with image storage, routing, and communication with radiologists.
• Handle pre-authorization for insurance, manage charge codes, and perform necessary paperwork.
• Respond to emergency x-ray calls after hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Educate patients about exam protocols and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Comply with state and federal regulations and attend required meetings.
