Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations and support patient care in a high-volume hospital setting in New Jersey.

The role requires ARRT certification, an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program, and strong communication skills. You will operate EPIC, PACS, and other hospital systems, while maintaining ALARA principles and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include EPIC and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors.
• Gathers information from medical records and providers to prepare scanning protocols and ensure patient safety.
• Operate and maintain x-ray equipment and ensure ALARA principles.
• Perform portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, ORs, and EDs.
• Identify patient images accurately with name and MRN; document correctly.
• Prepare radiopaque contrast media and assist with administration when needed.
• Handle scheduling, patient instruction, and other clerical duties as required.
