Job summary

AdventHealth in Minneola, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist to lead daily radiology department workflow and ensure imaging quality. The role involves supervising technologists and students, coordinating schedules, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Requires ARRT radiography registry, BLS, and 1+ year of radiology experience. The position is full-time on-site with Day shift in Florida; benefits from Day One and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
  • Submits high-quality images and documents promptly, ensuring image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history.
  • Educates patients about the exam and completes all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow.
  • Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation.
  • Practicing infection control standards and using PPE and disinfectants.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure imaging quality and continuity of care.
  • Ensures quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow.
  • Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members; provides input for performance evaluations.
  • Promotes a positive patient experience through service excellence and timely, high-quality care.
  • Leads daily radiology department workflow of patients, technologists, and students.

Job Description:

Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards.

Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.

Submits high‑quality images and documents promptly, ensuring image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history.

Educates patients about the exam and complete all exams in a timely manner, maintaining workflow and minimizing empty table time.

Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation, using flexible staffing when appropriate.

Practicing infection control standards and using approved PPE and disinfectant agents.

Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.

Ensures quality in imaging, patient care, and workflow.

Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed.

Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations.

Promotes a positive patient experience by ensuring service excellence, effective communication, and the delivery of timely, high‑quality care by the team.

Leads, organizes, and directs daily radiology department workflow of patients, technologists, and students.

Education:
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
  • Associate [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
Work Experience:
  • 1+ year experience [Required]
  • 2+ year experience [Preferred]
  • Experience as a registered technologist or training in all complex exams/procedures such as fluoroscopy and OR image guidance. [Preferred]
  • Ability to train and coach new hires or radiology students. [Preferred]
  • Experience with scheduling, coordinating, inventory, protocol management, leadership, etc. [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:
