Job summary

Akumin in Aventura, FL seeks a Technologist Trainee to learn safety, patient documentation and operation of radiology through on-the-job training under a registered technologist. The role includes pre-screening personnel for magnet safety, documenting patient procedures, and ensuring compliance with Akumin and Joint Commission requirements, with occasional travel between sites.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, completion of radiology training, CPR certification, and applicable

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of a Radiology School.
Certificate from College or Technical School.
ARRT, ARMRIT, NMTCB or ARDMS certification.
Continuing education related to the radiology structure component.
State issued Radiologic Technologist license, if applicable.
CPR certification required.
Valid state driver's license, if applicable.
Ability to work at several locations.
Strong customer service and organizational skills.
5% travel may be required.
COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
Pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Conducts pre-screening of all personnel before entering the magnet room to ensure safety.
Scans and documents patients under the direction of a registered technologist.
Completes necessary documentation for patient files per policy and Joint Commission requirements.
Performs other duties as needed.
