Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Germantown, TN seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform diagnostic procedures to support physician diagnosis and treatment.

The role requires completion of an accredited radiography program, ARRT(R) certification (or eligible), and BLS within 14 days of hire. Responsible for safety, documentation, and contributing to quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience through completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
• Completion of a formal radiography program accredited; ARRT(R) registered or waiting to register.
• State license as required; BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiology equipment as prescribed by physicians.
• Selects appropriate technique and settings for each patient.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans.

• Maintains equipment and rooms in a neat, safe condition.

Job Summary

Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Preferred/Desired

Education

Minimum Required

• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
