Job summary

TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Imaging Student Extern to gain hands-on radiology experience in a PRN role. You will learn from experienced technologists and contribute to safe, patient-centered imaging experiences.

As an Imaging Student Extern, you will prepare patients, assist with positioning, transport patients, set up rooms, and communicate with the care team while following safety and confidentiality standards and pursuing ARRT-R certification

Qualifications

• ARRT-R Radiography must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• BCLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning communicating clearly and compassionately
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly
• Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards
