Job description

Pay:New graduates with no experience who have finished their first semester of clinicals start at $25/hour. Employees are eligible for a bonus after one full year of employment.

This position is required to pick up open shifts (two regular and two on-call shifts) per month. Our on-call schedules are posted ahead of time for staff to select the shifts that work with their schedule. Open shifts available to pick up vary between 8 am- 8 pm Monday-Sunday.

Your Day.

As an RT Student or Float, you need to know how to:

  • Perform X-rays in accordance with Primary Health policies and procedures
  • Display the highest quality customer service on the phone and in person
  • Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician
  • Provide clinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
  • Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
  • Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and documentation
  • Provide quality patient education based on assessment of needs
  • Perform tests and procedures as ordered
  • Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
  • Relay provider instructions to patients
  • Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
  • Aid in identifying methods of improving patient care
  • Assist or lead in emergency situations
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA
  • Perform other duties as assigned
