Job summary

Primary Health Medical Group in Boise, ID is seeking an MA/LPN/RN for Family Practice to support exams, provide education, and assist in vaccines and phlebotomy. You’ll work closely with clinicians to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a team-focused environment.

You will prepare rooms, document encounters, and help patients navigate care pathways while upholding HIPAA and quality standards. Strong communication and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a nationally accredited MA program.
  • LPNs and RNs must have a current license from the Idaho Board of Nursing.
  • Venipuncture skills.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude/behavior.
  • Computer proficiency and applicable software proficiency.
  • Vaccines to include influenza, Hep B, TDaP, MMR, Varicella, and TB.

Responsibilities

  • Assist examination and treatment under provider direction.
  • Provide clinical triage/communication as per protocol.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilization, equipment checks.
  • Perform phlebotomy and laboratory specimen handling.
  • Administer vaccines and wellness exams.
  • Help patients navigate the healthcare system with education.
  • Assist back office with patient flow, paperwork, and service.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and confidentially.
  • Relay provider instructions to patients.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and assist with other duties as assigned.

Pay:Full-timeposition, pay starts at $18.25/hour, depending on experience, plus a $2.00differential for working in Family Practice

Your day.

As an MA/LPN/RN Family Practice, you need to know how to:

  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician, which could include casting, bracing, and injections
  • Provideclinical triage/communication as defined by protocol or per provider instructions
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients, including sterilization, cleaning, and checks on medical equipment
  • Prepare basic laboratory tests on-premises and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Perform phlebotomy involved with the proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages
  • Administer adult and childhood vaccines and wellness exams
  • Observe disease improvement and help manage chronic conditions
  • Help patients navigate the healthcare system, providing one-on-one education, and participating in the patient’s healthcare plan
  • Assist with special procedures not offered in the Urgent Care, i.e., IUDs, Nexplanon, biopsies, diabetic foot care, sleep studies, Cologuards, and circumcisions
  • Assist the back office in managing patient flow, paperwork, and customer service
  • Provide quality customer service and patient education based on assessment of needs
  • Performtests and procedures as ordered
  • Accurately document patient encounters and interventions performed
  • Relay provider instructions to patients
  • Assist with all non-direct patient care tasks (autoclaving, stocking room, scanning records, mailing, etc.)
  • Aidin identifying methods of improving patient care
  • Assist Front Office Staff in managing details of patients, schedules, and referrals
  • Assistor lead in emergency situations
  • Maintainconfidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the organization, i.e., HIPAA
  • Perform other duties as assigned
