Other duties as assigned.Performs radiographic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Positions, moves, and assists patients to ensure accurate imaging results. Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary. Screens patients for any contrast allergies and ensures proper identification of patients prior to performing exams. Educates patients about the imaging procedure and addresses any concerns they may have. Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved procedures to ensure patient and staff safety. Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean imaging room. Performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling. Monitors patient condition and cares for patient comfort, safety, and privacy during imaging procedures. Obtains and documents patient history and explains procedures to patients.Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services.
