Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging procedures and provide direct patient care. You will position patients and equipment, ensure high-quality images, and maintain accurate records in the EMR/PACS system.

The role requires knowledge of ALARA radiation safety, strong communication with patients and staff, and adherence to infection control practices. Certification and state licensure are required, with opportunities for career development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor degree preferred.
• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)) and CPR certification required.
• 1+ year radiology experience preferred or new graduate eligible for internship.
• Able to use radiographic/ fluoroscopic equipment with accurate technique.
• Maintain registries and licenses for Diagnostic Imaging.

Responsibilities

• Moves, positions and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete procedures safely.
• Performs direct patient care including monitoring and transport within scope.
• Follow ALARA concepts to minimize exposure for patient and staff.
• Performs radiographic imaging meeting department standards.
• Position patients and equipment, selecting factors to produce safe, timely images.
• Acquire imaging with correct demographics and exam data; document in EMR/PACS.
