Job summary

Health First in Florida is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort while collaborating with healthcare teams to produce high-quality radiographic images for accurate medical evaluation.

The role requires Florida General Radiographer licensure, ARRT (R), and AHA BLS prior to start. On-call availability within 30 minutes and potential mammography/fluoroscopy are included as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Joint Review Committee approved Radiologic Technology program or school.
• General Radiographer licensure in the State of Florida.
• ARRT (R) certification.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Certification prior to start date.
• Ability to report to Health First facility within 30 minutes when on call.
• Able to work effectively in a stressful environment and respond to life-threatening situations.
• Demonstrate effective time management and patient flow coordination.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe environment while operating diagnostic imaging equipment per policies and guidelines.
• Performs procedures including radiography, portable, ER, trauma, OR, mammography and fluoroscopy as applicable.
• Screens patients and communicates pertinent information before/after exams.
• Positions patients to comply with safety protocols and imaging requirements.
• Produces high-quality images and evaluates exam technical quality.
• Administers medications within scope as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Monitors patients during exams and responds to adverse events.
• Adapts to changes in workflow and patient volume across Health First facilities.
• Communicates effectively with patients, staff, and public.
