Job Responsibilities

• Perform provider-ordered digital X-ray examinations safely, including patient positioning, immobilization, and radiation protection.
• Set up and adjust supportive and immobilization equipment, handle patients professionally and safely.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Select appropriate technical factors to ensure safety for patients and staff.
• Maintain skills to meet operational needs, collect specimens, run point-of-care tests, and travel to other facilities as needed.
• Practice sterile techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
• Report equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Assist with ordering supplies, patient registration, scheduling, triage, cash handling, check-in/out, and scribing duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education: 2-year/associate degree preferred from an ARRT-accredited institute; completion of an approved X-Ray Technician certification program; registered with ARRT.

Experience: One year of imaging or medical assisting experience preferred.
