Job summary

HCA HealthONE Centennial is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and perform radiographs under Radiologist supervision. This role supports patients in the ED, hospital, and outpatient settings, following established protocols for all ages from neonate to geriatric.

Strong technical skills and patient communication are essential for delivering quality diagnostic results. Required AMA approved Radiology Technology program, current ARRT certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.
• Maintain ARRT registry through continuing education activities.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Prefer 2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Under the supervision of a Radiologist, perform x-ray procedures and explain them to patients.
• Serve ED, hospital, and outpatient patients as needed.
• Perform procedures per established protocols for patients from neonate to geriatric.
• Maintain technical and patient-care skills to provide quality diagnostic results.

Job Summary and Qualifications

OurRadiology andDiagnosticImagingDepartmentprovidesa broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries.A few responsibilities of our Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)include:

• You willoperatex-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Under the supervision of a Radiologist,your roleperforms x-ray therapy on patients andexplains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
• Your role will serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services as well.
• You will perform proceduresin accordance withestablished protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric.
• Your role willbe responsible formaintainingexpert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.

What qualifications you will need:

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.
• Mustmaintaincurrent registry by attending continuing education activities tomaintainknowledge and skill level.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Crossrequired.
• Critical thinking skills, decisivejudgmentand the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast pacedenvironment.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Prefer2yearsrecent acute care experience.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
