Job summary

Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a full-time (.8 FTE, 64 hours per pay period) position. The role involves performing radiographic exams with conventional, fluoroscopic, portable, and C-arm equipment, while minimizing radiation exposure and ensuring patient satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have ARRT certification, State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved radiography program with ARRT certification and/or WI licensure.
• WI Radiographer licensure requirements applicable to Wisconsin locations.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Site-specific competencies in protocols, equipment, and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations of highest quality while limiting radiation exposure.
• Operates conventional, fluoroscopic, portable, and C-arm radiology equipment.
• Supervises students according to competency level and maintains patient satisfaction.

Job Description:

The diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic examinations of the highest possible quality while limiting radiation exposure and using conventional, fluoroscopic, portable, and c-arm radiology equipment. Complies with measures to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained. Appropriately supervises students according to competency level.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Imaging Services standards and procedures as they relate to radiographic procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiography school, an associate degree in Radiography, ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and/or State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements.
• Previous applicable experience beneficial.
• ARRT (R)
• State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license (WI Locations only)
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin, and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. • Site specific competencies in protocols, equipment, computer systems and applications.
