Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey seeks a Radiology Technologist to join our patient‑centered team. You will perform Portables, ER, Trauma, Fluoro and General radiology procedures while maintaining licensure and high safety standards.

This role emphasizes compassionate patient care, collaboration with departments, and adherence to timekeeping and infection control requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT certification required or eligible.
• Current BLS certification.
• NJ DEP license – Radiology Technology required upon hire.
• Pediatrics exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Portables, ER, Trauma, Fluoro and General radiology procedures as needed.
• Maintain licensure, stay current, and participate in departmental training.
• Demonstrate courteous behavior and good customer service to patients and staff.
• Assist with patient flow and throughput, and support Radiology Ambassador team.

Short Description

Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Control requirements. Maintains Licensure, stays current and participates departmental training offered. Performs procedures (Portables, E.R., Trauma, Fluoro OR and General) as needed. Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co- workers/guests. Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external. Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies, maintains paperwork particular to each department/office. Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Ambassador team. Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. Attends greater than 80% of staff meetings to staff informed and supports initiatives.

Experience Required

Patient care and safe handling training required. General, Portable, ED, Trauma, Fluoro, pediatrics preferred.

Education Requirements

Graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Technologist Program and therefore registry legible. NJ DEP license required upon hire.

License/Certification Requirements
