Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist interventionalists during procedures, including vascular and trauma cases, and to maintain sterile technique and accurate instrumentation.

Candidates must complete an AMA-approved Diagnostic Radiology program, hold ARRT and NJ-RADTECH licenses, possess NJ DEP license on hire, and be CPR/BLS certified. 1–2 years in IR/Cardiovascular Interventional Tech preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved program for Diagnostic Radiology.
• NJ DEP license required upon hire.
• Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License.
• Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech License.
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assist interventionalists in all procedures within interventional radiology and vascular surgery.
• Maintain infection prevention policies and use appropriate PPE.
• Handle supplies/instrumentation associated with interventional procedures.

Education

Graduate of AMA approved program for Diagnostic Radiology

NJ DEP license required upon hire

Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License

Short Description

Assists interventionalists in all procedures within the scope of interventional radiology and vascular surgery, but not limited to oncology, vascular and trauma. Skill set must be maintained to handle supplies/instrumentation associated with interventional procedures. Adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.

Experience Required

1-2 year of Interventional Radiology or Cardiovascular Interventional Technology preferred

Education Requirements

Graduate of AMA approved program for Diagnostic Radiology and therefore registry eligible.

NJ DEP license required upon hire

License/Certification Requirements

• Current BLS.


• Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License.
