Job description

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) is nationally ranked among the Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation by U.S. News and World Report for 2024-2025 and the Best Rehabilitation Hospital in Indiana for the third year in a row. RHI provides high quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services to those facing life-changing injuries or illness. We specialize in the areas of brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and complex medical conditions. We offer inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to patients 15 years of age and older. SUMMARY


The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist-PRN is responsible for following and interpreting a physician's orders. Utilizing AIDET for patient care. Proper patient positioning for patients in the rehab setting. Maneuvering radiology equipment and producing quality images for diagnostic purposes. The technologist will demonstrate the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients aged 15 and older. Must treat patients with care and respect.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Requires independent judgment and the ability to work alone.
  • Prepares and positions patients appropriately for radiology exams.
  • Follows radiation and safety guidelines.
  • Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images.
  • Must be proficient with a C-Arm.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Minimum requirement of (1) 8 hours shift every month and one weekend on call per month (8-4pm Sat/Sun).
  • You have flexibility to schedule inpatient exams according to your timeline and availability.
  • PRN Rad techs at RHI maintain their skills in not only diagnostic imaging, but also fluoroscopy (FL MBS studies) and pain management cases with a C-arm.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION


  • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current license from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH).
  • Basic Life Support Certification required.

HOURS AND COMMITMENT


  • Minimum requirement of (1) 8 hours shift every month and one weekend on call per month (8-4pm Sat/Sun) This is a minimal commitment for a PRN job with limited on-call hours.
