Job Summary And Qualifications

Radiology Technologist - PRN/Per Diem

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, performing procedures accurately and with compassion and respect.

Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general, and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation, utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
  • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when necessary
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety, utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including radiologists
  • Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of the room and equipment to prevent cross-contamination, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
Qualifications
  • Vocational/Technical education
  • Valid ARRT certification
  • Active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
