Job Responsibilities

1. Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
2. Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
3. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
4. Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity. Monitor protocols and suggest updates as needed.
5. Follow radiation safety procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure.
6. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct markers and patient data.
7. Ensure equipment is functioning properly, report issues, and lock/tag out equipment if necessary.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department and related areas.
9. Position patients and select technical parameters accurately.

Minimum Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, obtained through the American Heart Association.
• One or more of the following:
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire.

Education Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience, OR
• Associate's degree or Technical degree, OR
• 4 years of relevant experience.
