Overview

Since 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital has cared for residents in Alton, Illinois, and the surrounding communities in a five-county area. Starting as a land gift to the community from the Smith family, Alton Memorial today is a full-service acute care hospital. Alton Memorial offers patients a variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including surgery, medical imaging, interventional and diagnostic heart services, cancer care, rehabilitation, 24-hour emergency care, ambulance services, and more.

The Radiology department is equipped with CR and PACS technology to perform general radiology in the department, as well as within the ED, OR, and hospital floors. Digital Mammography services include screenings, diagnostic work-ups, stereotactic breast biopsies, and more.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose

The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures on adult and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomical and physiological disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares patient and equipment for procedures, informing patients about instructions and what the procedure entails with high customer service and professionalism.
  • Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, including on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.

  • IEMA License (Illinois only, excluding MRI)
  • Radiology Technologist - Registered
