Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota seeks a Radiology Technologist to join our diagnostic team. You will perform highly complex exams, coordinate equipment, calculate technical factors, and ensure safety and accuracy in imaging.

Your role supports timely, quality diagnostics and patient care in our hospital setting. Ideal candidates hold ARRT certification, CPR, and at least 2 years of radiography training, with solid knowledge of radiological equipment and the ability to

Qualifications

• ARRT certified and current license as required by the state.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years of radiography training in an accredited program.
• Working knowledge of radiological equipment; able to perform highly specialized exams as part of the diagnostic team.

Responsibilities

• Types, proofreads, and mails results of the exams.
• Coordinates multiple factors to achieve a quality exam in appropriate timeframe.
• Utilize radiation safety devices.
• Attends departmental in-services and other staff development programs.
• Maintains and cleans equipment work areas and reports all malfunctions or breakage appropriately.
