Job summary

WVU Medicine—Weirton Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic radiology services, including portable and office exams, while assisting radiologists and physicians as needed. The position involves 40 hours weekly, on-site in Weirton, WV, and requires WV licensure, ARRT registration, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must possess Radiologic Technologist license through the West Virginia Board of Radiologic Technologists.
• Registered in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiographic examinations and explain procedures.
• Position patients and provide radiation protection during examinations.
• Support downtime protocols when PACS is down and ensure images are on PACS.
• Report any equipment issues to supervisor for service calls.
• Maintain sterile conditions and follow JCACHO standards.
• Instruct and cross-train new radiology technicians.
