Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Radiology Technologist to produce and evaluate radiographs to support timely radiologist interpretation for patient care. This PRN/on-call role offers flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires AMA-accredited radiography training, Florida license, ARRT registration, and current BLS (AHA). Candidates should be proficient with DR equipment and PACS/RIS.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of Radiography program from an AMA accredited Radiography school.
• Florida State Radiography License.
• ARRT registered.
• Current Basic Life Support, AHA.

Responsibilities

• Produces and evaluates radiographic images under radiologist guidance.
• Adheres to quality and safety policies per hospital and regulatory bodies.
• Determines appropriate exposure factors using analytical approach.
• Operates DR fixed and portable imaging equipment and uses PACS/RIS software.

Position Summary:

As Radiology Technologist, you will:

• Produces and evaluates radiological images to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of these images for the treatment of patients
• Adheres to image specific policies related to quality and safety established by Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and regulatory and accreditation governing bodies
• Demonstrates analytical skills required for determining technical factors for proper exposure levels
• Practical knowledge of various DR fixed and portable imaging equipment as well as computer skills including PACS and RIS.

PRN’s are as needed. The Technologist can be utilized anytime (days/nights/weekends/holidays) whenever the staffing model warrants additional support.
