Job summary

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a part‑time CT Technologist to acquire high‑quality diagnostic CT images for radiologist interpretation. You will assist with clerical tasks, and work with RIS and PACS systems to ensure accurate imaging workflows.

The role requires ARRT certification in radiography and CT, Florida licensure, BLS, and strong patient safety and computer skills. Weekend shifts and a collaborative environment are offered.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.
• Completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program
• Registered by ARRT in both radiography (R) and CT (CT) with Florida licensure
• Current Basic Life Support, AHA
• Advanced knowledge of RIS and PACS

Responsibilities

• Produces and Evaluates images to assist radiologist with timely interpretation
• Adheres to patient safety policies established by hospital and regulatory bodies
• Performs CT imaging studies with knowledge of instrumentation, ionizing radiation, anatomy, and related technology

POSITION SUMMARY

The CT Technologist will obtain quality diagnostic CT images for interpretation by the radiologist. Assists with clerical duties, and possesses knowledge of computers RIS, PACS.

Key Accountabilities

• Produces and Evaluates images to assist the radiologist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and patients for treatment and plan of care for patients
• Adheres to image specific policies in regards to patient safety that are established by the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, regulatory, and accreditation governing bodies
• Maintains required levels of education that pertains to clinical, family, and patient centered care 4. Performs Computed Tomography Imaging (CT) studies utilizing knowledge of instrumentation and ionizing radiation (special attention to low dose), cross sectional anatomy, along with technology and skills to produce quality CT images for interpretation by a Radiologist

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent achievement.
• Completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program
• Registered by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) in both radiography(R) and Computed Tomography (CT) - Licensure by the State of Florida Department of Health, Office of Radiation Control
• Current Basic Life Support, AHA
• Advanced knowledge of computer applications (RIS, and PACS)
• Auditory and visual acuity to properly perform imaging tests and procedures; manual dexterity necessary to operate imaging equipment and computer applications

Shift:

Saturday & Sunday, 7am - 7:30p (2-12 hour shifts per week)

Status:

Part-Time Limited (24 hours per week)
