Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures, assist radiologists, and ensure image quality and accurate documentation. You will work with patients to explain procedures, maintain safety standards and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities include positioning, imaging, RIS data entry, and collaboration with the Radiology team to support department needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (RT) registration and Wisconsin radiographer license requirements.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and general fluoroscopic.
• Explain procedures to patients, obtain clinical history, and address questions.
• Position patients and select exposure factors with radiation safety per prescribed methods.
• Identify patient, label images, verify requisitions, and ensure exam accuracy for billing.
• Assist, communicate, and consult with Radiologists.
• Enter patient and study information into the RIS and document billing codes.
• Perform patient positioning and lifting tasks with proper technique and safety.
• Provide care appropriate to patient age; follow department policies and procedures.
