Responsibilities

• Identifies patients using two identifiers and applies universal protocol; reviews history and orders.
• Administers PO and rectal contrast per physician orders.
• Ensures exams are coded and networked to RIS and ISITE; charges entered.
• Performs diagnostic radiography procedures per established protocols without constant supervision.
• Operates imaging equipment for acquisition and documentation of image data.
• Interacts with patients and coworkers with care, respect, and teamwork.
• Adjusts protocols as needed and communicates instructions clearly to patients.
